About Global Welding Engineering

Global Welding Engineering provides industrial fabrication supporting mining, infrastructure and processing projects across South Australia.

We operate as a fabrication contractor delivering structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) packages to engineering contractors and project teams. Fabrication work is carried out in accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications, supporting plant infrastructure, equipment installations and industrial upgrades.

Our workshop capability allows structural steel assemblies, piping systems and engineered components to be manufactured under controlled conditions and supplied to site ready for installation.

Quality assurance & documentation

Industrial fabrication requires clear documentation and traceability.

Our fabrication processes are supported by:

  • Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
  • Welder qualification records
  • Material traceability documentation
  • Inspection and test records (ITPs)
  • Manufacturer Data Reports (MDR) where required

These systems ensure fabricated assemblies meet project specifications and can be verified by engineering contractors and project stakeholders.

Materials

Materials commonly include carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, aluminium and copper-nickel alloys, selected in accordance with project specifications, design requirements and operating conditions. Material selection is driven by engineering documentation, corrosion requirements, and service conditions within industrial environments.

Working with engineering contractors

We work closely with engineering contractors, procurement teams and project engineers to ensure fabricated components are delivered in accordance with project requirements and schedules.

Our role is to manufacture assemblies that integrate with structural, mechanical and piping systems within industrial facilities.

Fabrication is completed in the workshop and supplied to site, with limited on-site support available where required depending on project scope.
