Scope: Fire Reboiler Structural Repair, Testing & MDR Submission

Global Welding Engineering was engaged to perform critical structural repairs on a fire reboiler for a gas industry client. The reboiler had been out of service due to corrosion damage at one end, compromising its pressure integrity. The client required the unit to be reinstated into service with full compliance and traceability.

• Site inspection and NDT evaluation of affected areas
   
• Marking and precision cutting of corroded sections
   
• Preparation and welding of replacement boiler plate
   
• Full hydrostatic pressure test after repair
   
• Quality inspection and documentation
   

All work was carried out by qualified welding personnel in accordance with:

• AS/NZS 3788 – Pressure Equipment: In-service Inspection
   
• AS 1210 – Pressure Vessels (design and construction)
   
• AS 4037 – Pressure Equipment – Examination and Testing After Installation
   
• AS/NZS 3992 – Welder Qualification
   

• Successful reboiler restoration and preparation for recommissioning
   
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and hydrotest completed and passed
   
• Full Manufacturer Data Report (MDR) provided, including:
   
  • Weld maps
     
  • WPS/WPQ records
     
  • Material certificates
     
  • Inspection and test reports
     

The client was able to reinstate the unit into service with full confidence in its structural integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements. Our quick turnaround and complete QA documentation ensured peace of mind and reliable recommissioning.
